Today – Tuesday January 16th – is the last day to register your views on SB343 – An Act Relative to School Based Health Services.
Currently, public school-based health clinics include nurses and physicians performing various exams and procedures. This bill allows for public school clinics to provide students with services well beyond the current scope allowed. Concerns with this legislation include: 1) no fiscal note attached, 2) Federal grant money being used will run out, leaving NH taxpayers on the hook, and 3) schools should be devoting resources and increasing their focus on improving proficiency scores for students.
If you agree, please register your Opposition to SB 343.
